STILLNESS IN MANUFACTURING LINES

Despite the rise of the digital revolution, there are still millions of people working in the world’s manufacturing sector. In developing countries like Vietnam and developed countries like China, over 10-15% of the population is still working in this space. This doesn’t sound like a lot, but that’s 5 million in Vietnam and 125 million in China.

In developing markets like Vietnam, most modern jobs are in low-value added manufacturing. Long hours are widespread and overtime wages have been found to form a significant proportion of wages.
